DIY BOWS!

Bows! I love bows, I see them everywhere! I am in a phase where I want to make Bow ties and Hair Bows and Neck Ties. The problem with that is I have an Oklahoma boy. A boy who doesn't want to wear Bow Ties or Neck Ties and wouldn't be caught dead in a Hair Bow! BUT I do have a sister :) My little sister is Ten years younger than I am so she looks super cute in everything! I will hopefully get my son to try on the neck ties but if not she shall be my model!

This post is about Hair Bows! (Sorry if I get some typos I am posting from my phone)

This bow is not quite completed because I ran out of glue.

What you need:
Glue (Hot glue gun or E6000)

Lace or any fabric really (11x11 in)

One strip of same or contrasting fabric (2x5??) I cut mine too long.

Scissors or rotary cutter.

Step one:

Cut the strip and the square

Step Two:

Fold in half (I am going with color now because it's easier to see)

Step Three:

Fold in the sides.

Step Four:
Scrunch!

Step Five:
Fold your strip in half and wrap around the scrunched part.

Glue the end. DONE!

Also: On the second step if you fold each side toward the middle it hides the edges. Like so:

Then follow the rest of the steps.

I will be posting more with other fabrics:) and when I'm done I'll post my pics of my model!
